IX.9.c Pompeii. March 2009. Doorway to triclinium. The lower part of the walls (zoccolo) was black, and the walls were red.
In the centre of the south and west and walls was a large painting, whilst the painting and plaster from the north wall had fallen.

According to NdS, near the recess for the bed in the south wall, the place of the table was indicated in the floor by a geometric design of white stones.
When excavated, a design of a phallus made from white stones could also be seen in the same place nearby.
