According to Jashemski, the portico of the garden was entered directly from the atrium. There was no tablinum.

The portico was supported by four white stuccoed columns on the east, and on the south by six somewhat lower columns.

The two rooms on the east, described by Eschebach as exedra or triclinia, had a good view of the garden.
