IX.5.9 Pompeii. December 2007. Room 10, looking south-west across peristyle towards room 13. According to Jashemski, this garden had a portico on the east, south and part of the north sides. It was supported by columns covered with yellow stucco, on which were painted garlands of leafy branches amidst which small birds were flying. The columns were connected by a low wall, today badly damaged. There was a large animal painting, only partially preserved upon excavation, on the west wall. See Jashemski, W. F., 1993. IX.5.9 Pompeii.  December 2007. Room “i”, looking south-west across peristyle towards room “p”.

According to Jashemski, this garden had a portico on the east, south and part of the north sides.

It was supported by columns covered with yellow stucco, on which were painted garlands of leafy branches amidst which small birds were flying.

The columns were connected by a low wall, today badly damaged.

There was a large animal painting, only partially preserved upon excavation, on the west wall.
