According to PPM – The plaster of the coating was roughly executed, other than on the lower part, which until the height of 1.90m from the ground, was painted with black panels squared with red bands. To the left of entrance no. 18, above the painted zone, was a rectangular slab made from red stucco, with side appendages/handles painted in red as if to appear as a “tabella ansata” on which was painted a sign. The large gaps in the plaster are partly due to the detachment of graffiti (CIL IV 5112-5126). See Carratelli, G. P., 1990-2003. Pompei: Pitture e Mosaici. IX (9).
