According to Fiorelli, this shop would have had a household niche for worshipping the gods, stairs to an upper floor. 
Also found in this shop was a painting of a cuttlefish and a red mullet.

According to Fiorelli, this shop would have had a household niche for worshipping the gods, stairs to an upper floor.

Also found in this shop was a painting of a cuttlefish and a red mullet.

the room is low and broad, a to a are holes for joists for the ceiling. 13ft wide, side of chamber.

Note: the drawing in the centre of the high red zoccolo would appear to be of two fish, the upper one being a cuttlefish. 
This would correspond with Fiorelli's description of a painting of a cuttlefish and a red mullet.
