According to NdS, the entrance doorway had a threshold of lava with the usual door-jambs for embedding the door-frame.

According to NdS, the floor was of cocciopesto and the walls, roughly painted, imitated a coating of marble slabs in black and white vertical streaks.

According to NdS, the walls of this rustic room were coated with white plaster, and the floor was of coarse cocciopesto.
