VI.8.3 Pompeii. December 2006. Doorway to room 15, looking towards west wall with square window. The dado was black with painted plants in separated panels. The middle zone was red separated by black bands. In the middle of the central zone was a painting of Narcissus, now faded and unrecognisable. The upper area was white with architectural designs, and a stucco cornice.

According to Mau this is a mosaic of an actor making preparations for the stage and was found in the floor of the tablinum. The label in the museum says it was found in the tablinum of VI.8.3.  Now in Naples Archaeological Museum.  Inventory number 9986. See Mau, A., 1907, translated by Kelsey F. W. Pompeii: Its Life and Art. New York: Macmillan. (p. 314)

According to Mau this is a mosaic of an actor making preparations for the stage and was found in the floor of the tablinum.

The label in the museum says it was found in the tablinum of VI.8.3.

VI.8.5 Pompeii.  March 2009.  Room 1, atrium.  South west corner.
On the south west side of this wall was one of the six panels, more than 4 foot high, that used to adorn the walls of the atrium. 
Possible site of the painting of The Judgment of Paris –  the picture is now entirely obliterated. See Mau, A., 1907, translated by Kelsey F. W. Pompeii: Its Life and Art. New York: Macmillan. (p.316).
