VI.7.20 Pompeii. December 2006. Peristyle pool. According to Jashemski, in the centre of the garden was a large rectangular pool which was 1.20 x 2.70m and 0.70m deep. Against the west wall was a very large aedicula shrine. Found in a recess in the portico were busts of Venus, a young boy and a woman.

According to Jashemski, in the centre of the garden was a large rectangular pool which was 1.20 x 2.70m and 0.70m deep.

Against the west wall was a very large aedicula shrine.

According to Boyce, this huge aedicula shrine stands against the west wall of the pseudoperistyle. See Boyce G. K., 1937. Corpus of the Lararia of Pompeii. Rome: MAAR 14. ( p48, no.166).

VI.7.20 Pompeii, September 2005. Looking south-east across triclinium towards peristyle.
On the left would be the east wall of the triclinium. Between the walls, in the lower right, would be east wall of the corridor leading to the kitchen and latrine. In the centre, between the pilasters, the south wall of the small room with the painted medallions can be seen, with doorway into corridor between atrium and peristyle.  Taken over wall in Vicolo della Fullonica.
