I.8.8 Pompeii. In May 1939 a large hoard of 1385 bronze coins was found in the central container of the eastern arm of the counter.

Now in Naples Archaeological Museum.

They were of various denominations with a total value of about 585 sesterces and ranged in date from 285 BC to 78 AD,
