According to Jashemski, the peristyle at the rear of the atrium of house 37, two steps higher than the atrium, was surrounded on three sides by a portico.

It was supported by stucco-covered columns, only three of which are preserved today (1993).

The enclosed area was paved. The paved area contained a narrow masonry pool, a fact deduced by the excavators from the depression in the pavement.

This paved court with a pool, would no doubt have served as a garden.

At the rear of this double house (on both the street and lower level) were terraces overlooking the bay and mountains.

The terraces at the rear of house 36 were preceded by a portico.
