According to Boyce, the interior was white, outlined with red stripes and on the rear wall was painted the figure of Jupiter. He was sitting on a throne with a green cushion, his feet on a footstool. The upper part of him was naked, the lower wrapped in a reddish mantle. He held a sceptre in his left hand, and a thunderbolt in his right. On his left side, was the eagle gazing up at Jupiter. The arched ceiling of the niche, was painted with yellow, rose and violet stars on a white background.
In the centre was painted the bust of Luna with the whip in her hand, beneath her was a crescent moon.
